Howdy

I had an iriver T30 that has suddenly crapped out on me when I tried
to upgrade the firmware on it. Now I can't even turn it back on. New
battery and hold button is not on. I've tried contacting iriver but
they haven't gotten back to me yet.

So, I'm looking at buying another flash mp3 player since they've
dropped in price. I'm currently looking at two:

apacer AU5242G 2GB - This is at $69
SanDisk Sansa 1GB MP3 Player (M240) - $49

The difference b/w 1GB and 2GB for me isn't that big of a thing. I'm
more concerned about overall quality, reliability and sound.

Which would be the better buy?

Thanks

I bought 4 of the Sansa M240 for myself and family members. Two of the
four quit working within 6 months and the third died just after a year.
I'll never buy another Sansa/sandisk product. My Creative Zen Nano Plus
was cheap and works great. When it dies, I'll buy a 2GB creative. I'd
like to have a 4 or 8G, but I won't buy anything that doesn't take AA or
AAA batteries, nor will I buy one that can't be mounted as a USB storage
device.
