|
|
Hi all I bought a 4 giga byte player from China it supports MP3 WMA
WMV etc.
When I connect the player to my computer it shows the 700 tunes I
inputed but it will only play a few albums.
In the instruction book it mentions a folder holds a maximum of 99
tunes and I must create a new folder to input more.
I am baffled-surely an album is a folder?.
I am using windows XP and Real Player.
Must I bin my Chinese MP3 device-if so what can a computer moron like
me use.

Do you have all 700 tracks in the same folder or do you have separate
folders for each album?
i.e. if you look at the folder structure do you have (let's assume its known
as the E:\ drive)
E:\track1.mp3
E:\track2.mp3
E:\track3.mp3
E:\track4.mp3 etc.
or do you have
E:\album1\track1.mp3
E:\album1\track2.mp3 etc then
E:\album2\track1.mp3
E:\album2\track2.mp3 etc
E:\album3\track1.mp3
E:\album3\track2.mp3 etc |

I am reasonably sure its the second form below ie album followed by
track.

i have one,& have found that 99 tracks/folders is
not quite right. I find 30 is ok.
e:\album\track.mp3 is ok
e:\music\album\track.mp3 is ok
e:\music\album\cd\track.mp3 is too many folders, &
dont fins the tracks.
are you sure its 4G, as some of these china copies
have less memory when formatted,
see
http://reviews.ebay.com/Warning-of-Fake-MP4-Memory-Capacity_W0QQugidZ10000000002497069
I had one of these from ebay, & sent it back for a
refund.
