Well... I've had a great 3+ years with my Zen Xtra 60Gb and have
watched many friends' iPods come and go as I've continued to enjoy my
Zen. Sorry.. pod lovers. However, though it still works great it has
seen better days and
I'm due for the upgrade. I am now considering the Zen Vision M as my
new device. I've only heard good things online and from sales-folk in
the electron-o-shops. The fact that I can drop my divx vidz on it
really makes me happy! What are peoples opinions here? Is there a
better choice from creative coming in the rumor future? WiFi nomad?

From another manufacturer? Zune? Any Vision M bugz or drawbacks?

Any input/feedback will be met with great appreciation!

I'm thinking about the same upgrade path...
I have a Zen Xtra 40G that I put an 80G harddrive in after the warranty ran
out -- still works great
I listen to my MP3 and an audible books
Haven't done the small screen video things yet...
I wonder if the harddrives in the new are as easy to swap out for bigger
ones......

I love mine. I have the 30g. I use it with Creative's el-cheapo (I think $29) noise cancelling folding headphones. The sound quality is above and beyond anything I've heard from any other MP3 players. I also have a lot of pictures stored in it. I haven't tried movies yet. One of these days.

Likewise. I am used to being able to have full access to the device
as I have multiple batteries and had to solder the audio connection
once. I can give up the batteries if the life of the battery is
fairly decent. I intend on getting the 60gb but would like to have
the option of changing the drive.
I don't think I'll watch 16:9 movies but the 4:3 ratio stuff should
look fine! |
